I had the honor of performing with my good friends and extremely talented/groundbreaking musicians, ARORA (formerly SONOS), at the Women's A Cappella Association's (WACA) SheSings 2015 Festival in Oakland, CA. Many thanks to Ben, Jess, Rachel, Chris, and Kathy, as well as the WACA staff, for the delightful time. Stay tuned for the collaborative track we put together with all of the showcased groups! Check out ARORA: website | Facebook and WACA: website Thrilled to announce that Lady Jaye has once again been selected for the Women's A Cappella Association's annual compilation album! Our track, "Put Your Hands On Me," (with a sexy solo by Ariel Arbisser) closes the album!
But that's not all! Men in Drag's "Givin' Em What They Love" (which I arranged/recorded/edited), Vocal Rush's "Green Garden" (recorded/edited), The Rip Chords' "No Light, No Light" (recorded/edited), and the TVC Ladies' "Eden" (sung/edited) were all ALSO featured on the album! I'm so honored and thankful to be a part of so many kickass recordings by all-female groups. So stoked for the future of WACA and all that they are doing for women's a cappella! Check out the album here: Loudr | iTunes
I had such an invigorating and educational summer at The Vocal Company's Next Level seminars!
I got to duet with my sugar, Johnny DelToro, on "Mary Brown" (a mashup of Rick James' "Mary Jane" and D'Angelo's "Brown Sugar"). Arranged by Tom Anderson and Johnny D, recorded and produced by Ed Boyer. And then I got to duet with my OTHER sugar, Mel Daneke, on "Bang Bang" (the Jessie J/Ariana Grande summer hit). Arranged by Shams Ahmed and Ben Bram, edited by Bri Holland, mixed by David Longo and Angela Ugolini. Excited to announce that Lady Jaye's first single, "Two-Way Street," is the opening track on the Women's A Cappella Association's new compilation album, WACA Vol. I! We're honored to be sharing the space with some of our best friends and biggest influences. And we're honored by the kind of words of Michelle Rocquet in her CASA review of the album - "welcome to the party" indeed!

The women of The Vocal Company got together to record a sweet Sara Bareilles cover!
Edited by Bri Holland, mixed by Angela Ugolini, mastered by Dave Sperandio. Check out this cover of A Great Big World's "Say Something" that I recorded with TVC's own Mark Hines!
Check out this cover of Sara Bareilles' "Islands" (from her new album, The Blessed Unrest). I arranged and sang the lead on the track, it was edited by Ted Trembinski and mixed by Nick Lyons, and we submitted it to the Sara B Fan Cover Contest.
Loved recording this cover from the TV show Smash with my bae, Nick!
I had a sweet time dueting on this JT cover with Johnny DelToro! Production by The Vocal Company.
