This year for the Women's A Cappella Association's annual festival, SheSings, I was asked to produce an anthemic collaborative track. Most of the groups performing at the festival, as well as much of the staff, came together to record Lisa Forkish's powerful arrangement of Joy Williams' original "Woman (Oh Mama)." The result celebrates all aspects of womanhood. Check it out, and support WACA in the process!

2016 was the 5-year anniversary of FReestyle, the a cappella sumer camp that I founded and direct at my former high school in Murrysville, PA. These students touch my heart and alter my perspective every time we communicate, and I'm so grateful to them for their genuine curiosity, empathy, and compassion. What a special, impactful year it was.
But it was also a tumultuous year, and we need "Change" now more than ever. The chorus of the song talks about waiting, but this is no time to be idle. The young women and men who sang this song are some of the most empowered to enact change in their communities, and I so look forward to seeing what they do with that power. All proceeds of this track will go towards FReestyle 2017, so please check it out and support the arts!
